This is more of a perk for memory intensive emulators/software.2) Minor Performance benefits running 64bit programs on 64bit OSes if you're on one.I guess having the option in itself to use it is an added plus? Strictly a matter of personal preference in this case. (flips per second, not to be confused with the traditional FPS measurement that we're used to for performance in other games and apps).The VPS counter is still the bonafide method of measuring performance in PPSSPP, anything below 60 means your system is struggling.TL R,VPS is the one that you have look out for.The FPS counter (as implemented in ppsspp)is just an internal measurement of how much the game is pushing, and is not affected by Unlimiting the VPS or Turbo. It is often a static number in games that are functioning properly, and can be either 30 or 60. It is not an indicator of your device's performance.
