Engineering graduate can attempt the IAS exam for sure. There is no restriction for a graduate for attempting the IAS exam. Since you are having a work experience of 1 year it won’t bring any additional benefits while attending the exam. The performance in the exam is counted.the general eligibility criteria’s for the above mentioned position is as follows-Education requirements – The candidates should be a graduate in any discipline with around 50% in the qualifying examination.

The candidates should have secured the degree from a recognized university or college. The age limit for the candidates should be between 21-30 years.
